Barefoot Books at FAO Schwarz

We had such a great time visiting the new Barefoot Books store located on the 2nd floor of FAO Schwarz in NYC. The store is awash with color. In fact, though we hadn't told Maxim where we were going, he excitedly exclaimed "Barefoot Books!" while walking up 58th Street. The store has a featured artist section with originals from Whole World by Christopher Corr and a display that should make everyone want to "Live Barefoot."

I had a great time speaking with Karolyn -- part of the store management team -- about the store, Barefoot titles and stallholding. Kari is also a musician who brings her guitar in for Barefoot Story Time...lucky kids. We didn't get to hear her sing but did return with friends for story time last Friday. Mike, the toy soldier, had the children enthralled with our award-winning titles.

Congratulations, Barefoot - what a great way to celebrate 15 years in publishing!

Erin, I agree! Leaving the Barefoot store was like going from color to black & white. NYC will never be the same without you there.
