Homeschool in The Big Apple

We've been happily blessed to get to travel to New York City once a month for Oleg's job. This has been so much fun and educational for us with trips to museums and different locations. We just took a NYC Ducks Tour and really saw New York from a unique perspective. We started in Times Square, navigating through Manhattan to the Hudson River. For environmental reasons, the amphibious vehicle was washed thoroughly before entering the water. This time is used for a multi-media extravaganza which simulates Henry Hudson's journey with sights, sounds, wind and water!

Once on the water, we definitely saw a skyline that Hudson never saw. Hi-lights included seeing the WWII aircraft carrier, the USS Intrepid, up close; and learning a bit more about New York City history, like why New York is called "The Big Apple."
