I wanted to make quick mention of Barefoot's new activity books because 1)they are on sale now 2)they are simply amazing. The illustrator, Barroux, works in linocut; which is a printmaking technique similar to woodcut but uses a sheet of linoleum for the relief surface. The activity books are great to have on hand for long car rides and also serve as inspiration in your Charlotte Mason education. Both Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse worked in linocut and materials are now readily available that are so easy to carve as to make simple linocuts a great handicraft to do with the kids.
