Family Vacation Part 2

Feeding the sweet Belted Galloways at the Wilford's. This rare breed of cattle originated in Galloway, Scotland. They are considered a "watched breed" as there are fewer than 10,000 registered world-wide, with 2,500 registered in the States.
Learning to shoot a .22 with Uncle Steve who was such a great teacher!
Going through Great-grandmother Catie's button collection - even more special as she told us stories about some of the buttons! I learned so much about my family's history on this trip.
The boys with their great-grandparents. Max is wearing Great-grandpa Jim's hat from when he drove gasoline up to the Wisconsin Dells in the 1950's.

We hadn't been to Niagara Falls since Luca was 8 months old. We had a beautiful picnic there, staying at the park for a few hours on our trip home.

Sounds like a lovely trip!! Shooting and wearing great-grandpa's cap--what a blessing to have such vibrant great-grandparents, too!! And to top it off with a picnic at Niagara Falls...perfect. :D

Dear Max,

It looks like you had a great holiday.

Can you tell me more about the fossils? What is a sea-lily?

If your grandma lost a button off her top, she couldn't use her button-collection, coz she's only got white buttons!

I am going to see my grandma this weekend.
