He's Got the Look

Stripes have been a bit of a "theme" here for Maxim the last few weeks, while Luca (4) has been wearing his shirts backward. I haven't said anything because I've always been happy that they get up, get dressed and put their pajamas away on their own. I am now beginning to wonder -- and I'm trying to say this in the best way, so please, no chastising -- but do my children look...um...home-schooled? Do yours?

This is timely: my husb'd and I were in stitches the other night, realizing our kids are {{really}} home-schooled. How did this happen??

My kids in every way look homeschooled. They wear their shirts inside out, backwards. They never match, I make them change their clothes every time we have to go into public. It's sort of sad, but on the other hand they have absolutely no pretensions or cares. They are comfortable in their own skins, really; how cool is that.

Nah. I'm a control freak. Pick her own clothes? Not until she's twenty, I reckon!

My kids love picking out their own clothes and well we also enjoy seeing how their personality often shows through the "outfit" picked out! These pictures will be treasures down the road! I love that as Christi said above that they are comfortable in their own skins!
